Scholastic Book Fairs

When families come to visit and purchase books at our Scholastic Book Fairs, you help the Booster Club to be able to provide FREE books to classrooms and the library each year! THANK YOU to our families who are able to support our Book Fairs!

NOTE: At this time we are still learning of our abilities as an organization on how to run events (such as Book Fairs) safely and efficiently while keeping in mind the district's policies during COVID.

This includes volunteer needs and recruitment. Generally help is needed with setup, running the fair, and clean up. It's a super fun and easy event to operate with no experience being necessary! In the event that we are allowed to have volunteer helpers during Book Fair, we will be sure to get the word out and put together a volunteer sign-up as helpful hands are always appreciated! Check back on this page often for updates!

Winter 2021 Book Fair

Check out our special website on Scholastic for more info and for your child's scheduled date to shop:

Preview Day: Friday, January 21st

On this students-only preview day, kids will be able to get a sneak peak at what books will be available for purchase the following week! They will also have the ability to create a "wish list" of books to share with families to help plan their purchases accordingly when the book fair officially opens on Monday, January 24th!

Book Fair: Open Monday, January 24th - 27th

Due to district health and safety guidelines, our Winter Book Fair will only be open to students during school hours for the week. Booster Club will not be selling books before or after school as we have in the past, but we are excited to announce that we will be having a special Family Shopping Night for parents and families who would like a chance to shop together! (See details below).

Students will have the chance to purchase books during their allotted library time. Because Mrs. Silvers, our Library/Media assistant, has several classrooms that visit the library in the course of a week, it is very likely that your child will only have their library day to make a purchase. Because of this, we are asking parents to please be sure your child comes with their available funds on their scheduled library day to get the most out of their shopping experience. Does your child see Mrs. Silvers on Fridays? Don't worry! We are hard at work in coming up with a schedule to make sure your classrooms won't miss out on the chance to come and shop too! Parents will receive notification and reminder from their teacher about their classroom's upcoming book fair visit.

Scholastic has a new, cashless way for students to make purchases - introducing e-wallet!

For families who may have worries about their children losing their book fair funds, don't usually carry cash, etc., Scholastic has a new and helpful way for parents (as well as Grandparents, Aunts, friends, etc.) to pre-load funds electronically for their child, through their new e-wallet payment system! Leftover funds can also be rolled over to another book fair! Click here for more info.

Family Shopping Night: Thursday, January 27th, 4:00-6:00pm

Please join us on Thursday, January 27th from 4:00-6:00pm in the Lenox Library for our special Family Shopping Night, where families will have an opportunity to shop!

IMPORTANT! Please note the following:

1) To ensure safety for everyone, we ask that only ONE ADULT per student attend
2) Masks are REQUIRED to be worn at ALL TIMES during this event

3) Families MUST sign-in on arrival

4) Please follow the one-way traffic flow as indicated

Entry will be located at the front main doors of the school, where families will need to sign-in upon arrival before heading into the library. Volunteers will be by the library entrance to help with crowd control / social distancing and may ask you to wait momentarily until enough families have finished their visit before allowing you to enter. Thank you in advance for your patience while our volunteers are hard at work to serve customers and keep everyone safe!

SPRING 2022 buy one get one free book fair

DATES TO BE DETERMINED - looking at late April / May

Stock up on books for the summer with our Spring BOGO Book Fair! With luck, we hope to be open to serve students and families before school, during lunch recesses, and after school Monday through Friday of BOGO week. A schedule will be posted as soon as we learn more!

We are also looking into having a community night (STEAM Night?) of some sort to help us kick off the book fair and to offer another potential evening shopping opportunity for our families who have to work during the day. More info to come as we get closer to this spring event!

We are so thankful to our Pioneer & Gold sponsors for their generosity!
